Tune Of The Week: Mark Sherry ft. Sharone – I Will find You

Buy here on Beatport: https://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/content/release/detail/293965/i-will-find-you

Truly epic vocal trance by Mark Sherry. Sharone delivers exquisite vocals that complement the track brilliantly. When the break kicks in you’re in for a treat! Beautiful polyphonic vocals accompanied by an almost chill beat at half tempo brings this song some tremendous atmosphere. Do check it out, it’s really really good!

Armin van Buuren: ‘Cool track!’
Above & Beyond: ‘good stuff, way cool!’
Gareth Emery: ‘Excellent!’
Markus Schulz: ‘Thanks so much! Nice Sounds, supporting.’

Marcus Schossow: ‘Nice!’

‘1 race to go. Fat guy getting into position.’

It ain’t over ’til the fat lady sings

Mark, I know what you mean, but as you may know, in F1, it’s the fat guy, who’s getting into position.

See!

Riddle Of The Week – The Solution

Ladies and gentlemen! The winner of the first ever Riddle Of The Week is: the ever clever, the champion of astuteness… the one and only Vaant!!!

The song “Fernando” has become ABBA’s biggest selling single of all time, selling 6,000,000 copies in 1976 alone. All in all, Fernando sold over 10 million copies worldwide. It’s the biggest selling song with a male name title worldwide.

Can you hear the drums Fernando?
I remember long ago another starry night like this
In the firelight Fernando
You were humming to yourself and softly strumming your guitar
I could hear the distant drums
And sounds of bugle calls were coming from afar

They were closer now Fernando
Every hour every minute seemed to last eternally
I was so afraid Fernando
We were young and full of life and none of us prepared to die
And I’m not ashamed to say
The roar of guns and cannons almost made me cry

There was something in the air that night, the stars were bright, Fernando
They were shining there for you and me for liberty, Fernando
Though we never thought that we could lose, there’s no regret
If I had to do the same again, I would my friend, Fernando
If I had to do the same again, I would my friend, Fernando

Now we’re old and gray Fernando
Since many years I haven’t seen a rifle in your hand
Can you hear the drums Fernando?
Do you still recall the faithful night we crossed the Rio Grande?
I can see it in your eyes
How proud you were to fight for freedom in this land

There was something in the air that night, the stars were bright, Fernando
They were shining there for you and me for liberty, Fernando
Though we never thought that we could lose, there’s no regret
If I had to do the same again, I would my friend, Fernando

There was something in the air that night, the stars were bright, Fernando
They were shining there for you and me for liberty, Fernando
Though we never thought that we could lose, there’s no regret
If I had to do the same again, I would my friend, Fernando
Yes if I had to do the same again, I would my friend, Fernando
If I had to do the same again, I would my friend, Fernando

HU:

Második helyen Eminem – “Stan található, 8 millió eladott lemezzel, harmadik a “Petit Papa Noël (Tino Rossi, 1946; 5,7 millió), negyedik az 1910 Fruitgum Company – “Simon Says” száma 1968-ból 5 millió eladott kislemezzel.

Érdekesség, hogy női név tekintetében szintén spanyol a legelső; “Macarena” (Los del Rio, 1995), a “Fernando”-hoz hasonló mértékű eladott példányszámmal (~11 millió, darabszámra pontos eladási adatokat nem találtam, ezért Fernando abszolút győzelme sem kizárható). Utána a 1957-es “Diana” következne Paul Anka-tól (9 millió), közvetlenul utána holtversenyben 8 millióval a “Hey Jude” The Beatles-től (1968) és a “Venus” a Shocking Blue-tól (1969). Ezután “Delilah” következne 5 millióval Tom Jones-tól.

A legelső Hét Rejtélye játék győztese a mindig okos, az agyafúrtság bajnoka, Vaant!!! Gratulálok a győztesnek!

Nem gondoltam volna, hogy ilyen hamar rájöttök, szerintem a YouTube tehet róla és a számok, amelyeket segítségül elmondtam, holott a kulcsnak nincs köze videó megtekintési adatokhoz, de pechemre az egyik ‘YouTube Fernando’ tíz milliónál tart.

Tune Of The Week: Lennox – “Phantasia”

This tune is amazing! Simple and deep at once. It isn’t mainstream or widely known, but the best stuff is rarely mainstream or widely known. It’s a kind of underground and independent perl I found a special way.

It’s from Minda Music, Ronnie Minder a Swiss songwriter, composer and producer living in Melbourne, Australia.
